Nebraska GenCyber a 5-Day Cybersecurity Camp
Students in 5th through 8th grade Students must be from the Omaha area and/or provide their own lodging and transport to and from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Students from underrepresented populations – including rural populations - are highly encouraged to apply. No prerequisite knowledge

About the event
This year's theme focuses on the 5 core ideas in cybersecurity. Students will solve puzzles, create apps, and control hardware. Students will get to talk to real security professionals, investigate cybersecurity careers, and learn skills that real practioners use. Nebraska GenCyber promotes female empowerment in Cybersecurity. This year's camp will feature female near-peer, college, and industry practitioner mentors that will tell their stories and show students that they too have a place at the table in Cybersecurity.
